On The Homefront: GI Resistance Movement Continues to Grow!

Marty on the Homefront has a great post noting that increasingly the largest resistance to the war in Iraq is from the ranks of U.S. soldiers. So, if the troops don’t believe in the mission, and we want to “support the troops,” could that entail supporting their resistance to a war which violates Just War standards? I think so. G. I. resistance was key to ending the unjust war in Vietnam and it will be key to ending this one, too.
The average American soldier is not a monster–most are far more moral than the chickenhawk civilians in the White House and Congress who sent them out to kill and die.

  2. Thanks for bringing attention to this ever increasing movement. It’s more widespread than anyone realizes.
