Pelosi: U.S. “Appears” Guilty of Torture

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) says that it appears that the U.S. is guilty of torture.  So, why isn’t she holding impeachment proceedings and criminal investigations???  Call and ASK HER at 202-225-0100! If members of our government “appear” to be guilty of criminal acts, there is a constitutional remedy. It’s time to put impeachment back on the table. Then we can end torture, the war, and so much else NOW, and not (possibly) in ’09!

  1. She’s personally opposed to toture but doesn’t want to impose her personal morality on the rest of society.

  2. Well, it’s not her “personal morality,” but U.S. and international law that’s at stake and she has sworn to uphold that law.

  3. I think the anonymous poster was satiring the pluralist/relationist morality that pervades the Democratic party.
