Faith & Social Justice: In the spirit of Richard Overton and the 17th C. Levellers

Run for the Roses #135

Sorry for the small interaction, today, folks, but this is Kentucky Derby. Yes, every year on the 1st Saturday in May, my otherwise ordinary, medium -sized, upper-South/Midwestern city becomes the focus of the entire world as we host the world’s most famous horse race. (Last year, the Queen of Great Britain showed up.)  For two weeks in buid-up, there are balloon races, chow wagon, parades, and various other contests and promotionals leading up to a 2-minute race of  3 year old thoroughbred horses.  Tomorrow, we go back to ordinary existence.
